Overview: The primary responsibility of the Day Manager is to ensure the success of the weekly seasonal market during all market hours. Additional responsibilities include tracking and recording weekly market attendance and writing a weekly summary report after each market. Planning and distributing the weekly market map may be added. Key duties include:
Schedule: This is a seasonally-focused, hourly position. During the market season, attendance at the market is required on Saturdays June 15 - October 12, 2024 from 7:00am-1:45pm. The market takes place rain or shine, at the market site (South Church in Andover, 41 Central Street, Andover, MA). Additional hours available for report-writing and communications as long as hours do not exceed state laws and AFM budget. Additional hours are budgeted to support pre-season planning and training. There may be additional opportunities to work at special events. .
Qualifications:
Reporting and Compensation: The Market Day Manager is an employee of South Church of Andover, dba Andover Farmers Market, and will be under the direction of the Andover Farmers Market Team. This is a part-time, non-exempt, non-benefited position. Pay will be determined based on experience and will be paid bi-weekly. Additionally, employment is contingent upon passing the CORI background check and providing US work authorization.
