Market Research Supervisor supervises activities in the market research department. Ensures appropriate use of analytic techniques to determine demand for products and services. Being a Market Research Supervisor interprets and predicts consumer trends, formulates research and development proposals, and monitors research projects. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Market Research Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Primary Responsibilities
Creating accurate material and labor estimates, along with detailed proposals, for HVAC and plumbing projects.
Analyzing bid documents including mechanical drawings, specifications, etc. to determine project requirements.
Identify potential value engineering opportunities to help clients meet their construction goals.
Attend bid walk throughs, site visits, meeting with both general contractors and directly with owners to better understand the required scope of work.
Attend all project meetings (kick-off, pre-construction, coordination, BIM, planning, turnover etc.)
Work with Project Managers and Engineers to establish project requirements, crew size, and budget.
Ability to stay up to date with current construction market trends, affiliated union contract changes, and track STL Metro market.
