CB Archambault Marine Services, LLC provides staffing and operation services to commercial passenger vessels operating on the Missouri River system of North Dakota.

We are currently seeking a 100-Ton Master to operate passenger vessels with a passenger capacity exceeding 100 guests. The vessel generally operates seasonally from May – October 7 days per week for both ticketed cruises and private charters.

Responsibilities:

• Expertly operate a 60 to 90 ft. vessel in all types of weather conditions including but not limited to extreme wind
• Adhere to all US Coast Guard rules and regulations while complying with all state and federal laws
• Able to work 7 days per week when necessary including weekends and holidays
• Supervise and train deck crew in best practices of operating a passenger vessel
• Conduct and document safety drills
• Conduct and document pre cruise and post cruise briefing with crew
• Ensures the vessel is ready for daily cruise operations

Requirements:

• Must have prior experience working on a passenger vessel.
• Candidate must have the ability to create, lead and motivate a team of people to accomplish the tasks and goals assigned.
• Candidate must be a self-starter, have the ability to work both independently and as a team member, have a presentable appearance and able to work with All people regardless of race, gender or sexual orientation.
• Candidate must conduct himself/herself as a professional at all times, have the ability to communicate in a professional manner both written and verbally, have the ability to take direction, and have the ability to communicate issues and make recommendations to the owner or owner representative.
• Candidate must be able to work in a laid back fun atmosphere without the need for rigid or formal decorum or outdated old school management styles. A professional and fun loving attitude is essential.
• A good employment record is essential and candidate must provide references if requested.
• Candidate must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Individuals with a record of DUI more current than 5 years will not be considered for the Master Position. A background check may be conducted.

Education: Some college or professional coursework in management is desired but not required.
