Job Overview

As a Material Handler at Monarch, you will be responsible for managing the flow of materials throughout our facility, ensuring accurate inventory records, and supporting production activities. Your role involves running scheduling board reports, MRP reports, assembling work orders, making tags and labels, organizing inventory, operating forklifts, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Run scheduling board reports and MRP reports to print ASHOH report (sheet steel quantity on hand).
• Pull and assemble all work orders (WO) and travelers, labels, and special instructions.
• Create tags and labels for the plant floor and pallets, matching them with work orders.
• Distribute cycle count sheets to the floor and return them to accounting.
• Organize inventory for FIFO (First In, First Out) and easy identification, including quarantine areas.
• Check non-inventory supplies and submit requests as needed.
• Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Utilize basic computer skills for data entry and inventory management tasks.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience as a Material Handler or similar role in a warehouse or manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Ability to run scheduling and MRP reports and use basic computer software for inventory management.
• Proficiency in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for inventory management and labeling.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required.
• Knowledge of FIFO principles and inventory organization techniques.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts and overtime as needed.
• Willingness to perform various tasks as assigned, demonstrating adaptability and a proactive approach to work.
