    Position Summary

    Act as the key interface between Operations and Maintenance. Provide strategic perspective to the various discussions related to maintaining the plant equipment. Manage the “Ready to Schedule” backlog and build the Weekly and Shutdown Work Schedules by organizing large numbers of work orders and balancing the backlog with overall level of maintenance resources.

    Principal Duties & Responsibilities

    • Schedule 100% utilization of resource availability. (measured by “Hours Scheduled” / “Hours Available”)
    • Work to maximize equipment reliability through using planned/scheduled maintenance most effectively. (measured by “uptime of equipment that has had planned maintenance performed on it”)
    • Quickly returning equipment to design capability through using planned/scheduled maintenance most effectively. (measured by “Time of planned repair from shutdown to running”)
    • Maximize equipment availability by effectively using planned/scheduled maintenance. (measured by “Lost production time due to planned maintenance”)
    • Formalize and streamline communications regarding plant assets and events.
    • Act as an official liaison between Operations and Maintenance helping to bridge the screening, prioritization and scheduling of work.

    Supporting Duties:

    • Manage maintenance data collection and information gathering by field verifying, entering, and analyzing data into eAM to allow for more effective planning.
    • Work closely with Maintenance Supervisor and Leads to be sure planned jobs are scheduled accordingly.
    • Keep a backlog of planned jobs ready to be scheduled in the eAM system.
    • Lead plant shutdown meetings and collaborate departmental schedules.
    • Lead AAR’s to determine root causes of late plant start ups.
    • Help with contractor management planning (Scopes, Method Statements, on-site safety reviews, etc.)
    • Perform Job Plan audits.
    • Responsible for Oracle eAM system, organization of Maintenance activities
    • Evaluates PM program and updates as necessary
    • Assists department supervisor to maximize utilization of personnel
    • Scopes and evaluates maintenance activities
    • Makes recommendations to Maintenance Manager on ways to better utilize personnel.
    • May have at least one direct report
    • Contacts vendors for RFQ’s (Request for Quotes)
    • Issues requisitions and orders materials as required.
    • Stages materials to ensure timely completion of maintenance jobs
    • Interacts and supports everyone in the Management group to assure correct information is collected for the eAM system.
    • Maintain accurate data based on equipment modifications. Constantly update equipment records as changes are made.
    • Generate and develop tracking reports for the PM system and the total work order system.
    • Maintain close contact with the warehouse and ensure that necessary parts are available for upcoming jobs.
    • Maintain and schedule the Preventative and Predictive Maintenance Programs in assigned areas.
    • Develop work orders and improve information available to the craft person working on the job.
    • Ensure that all Maintenance Personnel are properly trained in use of the eAM system.
    • Stage materials for maintenance activities.
    • Coordinating maintenance plan with all affected departments to ensure that all needs are accommodated.
    • Maintain PM compliance standards and maintaining these standards
    • May have other responsibilities.

    Specialized/Technical Knowledge Or Required Skills

    • High School Education or GED required.
    • 5-8 years of experience in maintenance and/or operations required.
    • Ability to apply mechanical reasoning skills.
    • Knowledge of plant processing and equipment
    • Ability to use spreadsheets, scheduling, and word processing software.
    • Familiar with eAM system.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, state, local and corporate environmental and safety regulations, and permit issues (air, water, etc.). Ensure that proper documentation is completed for any safety or environmental required monitoring in your area of responsibility. Report inconsistencies as appropriate to local EHS&S staff. Alert supervisor to any condition or activity that could pose an environmental liability; i.e., spills, poor housekeeping, etc.
    • Attend all Federal, state, and company-mandated training; read and comply with Job Hazard or Safety Analysis (JHS or JSA) information that applies to area in which you work; wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) while on the job, and report and/or correct any unsafe condition that you may observe. Report all injuries to your supervisor.
    • Be aware of and know how to access the JM Huber EHS Policy, the HSMS and HEM Environmental, Health, and Safety Management System (EHSMS) procedures. Comply with HSMSs and HEM EHSMS procedures and report all non-conformances to your supervisor or manager.
    • Incorporate MSHA, environmental, health, and safety requirements into everyday decision making.
