SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of Refrigeration/Boiler equipment and systems, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company. Maintain FM Meat Products LP Boilers and Refrigeration Equipment, Assets, Processes, compliance programs and Areas as required to eliminate Downtime, Unsafe Conditions, USDA issues and Food Safety Concerns. State and Federal Guideline Compliances.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Minimum Requirements
Experience:
Preferably 5 to 7 years of experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility or equivalent combination of education and experience.
In-depth knowledge of a beef processing plant .Experience with repairs and maintenance of Refrigeration/Boiler equipment.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
Computer skills (MS Office); critical thinking; oral and written communications, probability and statistics, decision-making skills.
Must have the ability to work effectively with Computerized Maintenance Management System and instruct others on its operation.
Skills/Competencies:
Effective communication skills in one-on-one and group situations. Ability to understand manufacturing processes and to identify improvements. Skills to prepare written policies, procedures and reports. Ability to work effectively in a team atmosphere. Ability to handle various responsibilities simultaneously.
Other Skills:
Universal refrigeration certification. Knowledge of PSM/RMP implementation and development.
