Mechanical Engineering Manager manages the design and analysis of mechanical components and systems to meet specified requirements and standards. Provides technical direction to team members in designing, developing, and testing mechanical systems or components. Being a Mechanical Engineering Manager utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components. Oversees prototype testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical systems and reviews data and analysis to develop improvements. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Manager manages engineering projects through their entire lifecycle, including cost and requirement analysis, scheduling, and coordinating activities with stakeholders. Establishes programs to support training, process improvements, and best practices and protocols. Leads initiatives with other departments to identify potential products and projects. Stays abreast of new technologies and processes and implements changes to improve the organization's mechanical engineering capabilities. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering. Typically reports to a director. The Mechanical Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mechanical Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1-3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our team. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing mechanical construction projects from start to finish. You must have a strong background in Project Management, with solid familiarity with commercial mechanical and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee mechanical projects from start to finish
    • Ensure projects are completed within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards
    • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met
    • Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets using project management software
    • Review and approve RFI's and submittals
    • Buy-out project in a way that ensures a quality installation while staying at or below budget
    • Obtain and analyze proposals from multiple vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors; negotiate costs, manage contracts, oversee and coordinate work of subcontractors
    • Manage all change orders including documentation, cost estimates, negotiations, and execution
    • Oversee the installation and maintenance of mechanical systems, including HVAC and plumbing systems
    • Conduct regular site visits to ensure work is progressing according to plan
    • Manage project documentation and ensure accurate record-keeping
    • Provide regular project status updates to senior management


    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, or 10 years of trade experience
    • 5 years of experience in MEP Project Management.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
