Mechanical Engineering Supervisor jobs in Montana
Mechanical Engineering Supervisor oversees the designing of engines, tools, and other mechanical equipment and industrial processes. Also responsible for supervising the production, operation, repair and maintenance of equipment. Being a Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may work with other engineering departments to aid in the development and usage of robotics to improve productivity. A level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. Additionally, Mechanical Engineering Supervisor may require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of the team processes. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)

Duties:
Job responsibilities include teaching a wide range of undergraduate and graduate courses within the Mechanical
Engineering Department. Requirements include teaching service courses and courses specific to Mechanical
Engineering. The person in this position must initiate and sustain a research program, including leadership of
undergraduate and graduate students, and is expected to provide service to the department, campus, community,
and profession.
Required Qualifications:- A PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline by position start date
- Industrial experience;
- Teaching experience;
- Excellence in written/oral communication skills;
- Capability to obtain a PE license within four years of appointment
