Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises the routine maintenance and inspection operations for a facilities mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Assigns maintenance and repair tasks to delegate workflow and manages a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track work orders. Being a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor develops policies to guide technicians on processes, best practices, and safety protocols. Oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to identify wear and damages and evaluate equipment for replacement. Additionally, Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor selects, schedules, and coordinates vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects. Ensures all maintenance, repairs, and equipment comply with established safety protocols and regulations. Experienced with facilities maintenance processes and may have completed a trade apprenticeship or technical training. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Responsibilities
Supervise and work alongside with the maintenance facilities Carries out responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include training employees, planning assigning and directing work,
monitor work flow; inspect work product of subordinates to ensure accuracy and timeliness of completion; meet with staff to review and evaluate work products, methods and procedures and to identify and resolve challenges
maintain knowledge of changes in pertinent Federal, State and Local regulation
to ensure that the arrangements and services ordered by those departments are available when and where needed by the clients together with adequate staff to service these event
