Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises the routine maintenance and inspection operations for a facilities mechanical equipment, control systems, power distribution systems, and HVAC systems. Assigns maintenance and repair tasks to delegate workflow and manages a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) or work order system to track work orders. Being a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor develops policies to guide technicians on processes, best practices, and safety protocols. Oversees preventive maintenance, repairs, and inspections to identify wear and damages and evaluate equipment for replacement. Additionally, Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor selects, schedules, and coordinates vendors and outside service providers for specialized repairs or maintenance projects. Ensures all maintenance, repairs, and equipment comply with established safety protocols and regulations. Experienced with facilities maintenance processes and may have completed a trade apprenticeship or technical training. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a manager. The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. To be a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor typically requires 3 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. About The Role- Our Reliability team, composed of 12 people, is integrated in the Surface Maintenance department focuses on Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) through continuous improvement; by creating root cause solutions and proactive solutions to safely produce Soda Ash & Derivatives in collaboration with Preventive/Predictive Maintenance, Planning, Execution, Lubrication, Surface Production and Group Engineering.
- As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will work as an engineering resource for our maintenance department; to provide engineering recommendations to planners/foreman/mechanics, and develop continuous improvement solutions but primarily focused on day to day maintenance activities.
- You will be accountable for:
- Engineering resource for day to day needs of Planner, Foreman and Mechanics
- Troubleshooting breakdowns
- Engineering specifications for contracted repairs
- Design and management of short term continuous improvement projects
- Management of change (MOC) contributor
- On Call Rotation, 2-3 weeks/yr
- We offer a permanent employment based on onsite working a 4/10 schedule.
- Relevant education degree or equivalent in BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.
- Relevant work experience in Soda Ash Production, Petro-chemical, Power Generation, Cement, Chemical, or similar industries in Industrial Maintenance or Plant Engineering desirable but not required.

While the United States base pay reasonably expected for this role is $100,500 to 117,000 your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
