The City of Rochester, NH is currently recruiting for a Director of Planning and Development to provide professional, technical, and administrative work in administering planning and land use controls, and in coordinating and shaping both the short-range and long-range physical, social, and community development and improvement plans of the City of Rochester.
The city is seeking an innovative, decisive leader with a track record of integrity and positive intergovernmental skills with a successful background of service in planning or similar level position. The ability to collaborate and build and maintain relationships with people of all levels is a must.
Requirements include:
· Bachelor’s Degree in community planning or related field;
· Eight years of progressively responsible experience in the municipal planning field, including experience directly related to land use controls, housing, and federal grant programs;
· Three years of experience in a supervisory role;
· A valid driver’s license required;
· Certification by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is highly desirable.
RMUN grade 16; annual salary range of $91,149.91 to $122,848.13 dependent upon qualifications and experience with competitive benefits.
