Medical Billing Clerk jobs in Connecticut
Medical Billing Clerk is responsible for reviewing, researching, coding, and generating third party billing for a medical facility. Completes and verifies ICD-10 coding. Being a Medical Billing Clerk inputs and maintains all payment records in database or systems. Performs basic customer service for routine patient or other inquiries. Additionally, Medical Billing Clerk requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Billing Clerk works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. The Billing Clerk will prepare customer billings based on sales activity
Review credit balances, transfers and apply adjustments to billing records
Ensure outstanding AR balances are followed up on according to the schedule
Support AR department with any customer related issues including credit memos and invoices
What We're Looking For
The Billing Clerk should be comfortable speaking on the phone, in a professional mannor
The Billing Clerk should have previous, hands-on experience with Accounts Receivable
Basic excel skills are ok-exposure to Pivot tables or any advanced function is certainly a bonus
