POSITION OVERVIEW :
The Medical Billing and Coding Adjunct Instructor will train and educate students according to the curriculum provided, which is designed to assist students to gain knowledge and skills that will prepare them to pass the Certified Billing and Coding Specialist certification exam.
The instructor will teach students on the proper application of coding and billing medical records within healthcare industry standards .
The Medical Billing and Coding Adjunct Instructor will educate students in medical terminology, anatomy / physiology, ICD / CPT / HCPCS coding, insurance- (claims, payments, and carriers), HIPPA, compliance- (laws, fraud, ethics) and revenue cycle management.
All instructors are responsible for creating a supportive, empowering learning environment for adult learners and delivering quality content area instruction.
