Your Role

As a Medical Billing Specialist, you play a critical role in the financial cycle of all mental health healthcare providers. Your responsibilities are not just limited to submitting medical claims in a fast-paced environment but also serve as a cornerstone in the health management ecosystem by acting as the primary point of communication for your assigned accounts.

Schedule & D.A.S. Billing Culture

Monday thru Friday,

• 7 AM to 3 PM CST (specific rest times throughout the day)

Insurance for Employee

• 100% Covered by Employer on specific plans
• 15 PTO days per year

Paid Weekly (Fridays)

Start Date: June 2024

The D.A.S. Billing team works closely with our clients and each other. We support each other’s endeavors in / outside of the office encouraging each to thrive. It is important to form cohesive bonds with our client’s and our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide a Vital Service: Submit medical claims to insurance companies and payers.
• Communicate with Care: Handle all client and/or insurance inquiries for your assigned accounts.
• Be a Resource: Serve as an integral team member and be a resource on key customer and business issues.

Qualifications Experience

• Minimum of 3 years in a customer service-oriented role
• At least 1 year of medical office experience

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

Skills & Abilities

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality as per the Health Insurance Portability
• and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA )
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Multitasking capability
• Detail-oriented
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in computer systems, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and billing software
• Familiarity with insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding
• Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed for large project
