Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records, ensuring proper coding and documentation
- Accurately assign ICD-10 codes to diagnoses and procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement
- Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, resolving any billing discrepancies or issues
- Process payments from insurance companies and patients, applying them to appropriate accounts
- Maintain accurate patient billing records and update patient information as needed
- Collaborate with medical office staff to ensure accurate and timely billing processes
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries or concerns

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role in a medical office setting
