Medical Records Transcriptionist jobs in Michigan
Medical Records Transcriptionist transcribes medical dictation by physicians and other medical practitioners pertaining to patients assessment, diagnostics, therapy, and other medical reports. Understands medical terminology and the use of transcription software and equipment. Being a Medical Records Transcriptionist requires a high school diploma. May require Registered Healthcare Documentation Specialist (RHDS). Additionally, Medical Records Transcriptionist typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Medical Records Transcriptionist works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Transcriptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology to accurately transcribe medical reports.
Listen to recorded dictations from healthcare professionals and transcribe them into the patients' health records within our EMR system. - Ensure accuracy and timely completion of transcriptions. - Edit documents for grammar, clarity, and consistency. - Maintain patient confidentiality and data integrity. - Coordinate with medical office staff to clarify any unclear dictations.
Proficiency in typing and transcription software. - Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. - Excellent listening and communication skills. - Attention to detail and accuracy in transcribing medical records. - Familiarity with medical office procedures.
