Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Our client is an independent financial advisory firm seeking a client-facing Financial Advisor to join its growing team.
Some Responsibilities Include:
-Create and update financial plans
-Present financial plans and meetings and participate in planning-related conversations
-Review client portfolios and investments
-Acting as the main point of contact for clients
-Support other advisors with various client needs
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's degree Required
-5-8 years of experience in financial planning
-Securities Licensing (7, 63/55 and/or 66)
-CFP is preferred, or the desire to pursue
-Strong verbal and written communication skills
-Team player and desire to grow
Compensation:
-Base salary starting at 100k , plus bonus
-401k plus profit sharing
-4 weeks of PTO plus NYSE holidays
This position is a hybrid position, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.
