Meeting/Event Planner jobs in Indiana

Meeting/Event Planner plans and organizes live or virtual meetings and events for an organization or external clients. Implements an event strategy to achieve objectives. Being a Meeting/Event Planner researches and recommends event venues. Coordinates meeting logistics, including attendee registration, transportation, accommodations, meals, and technology. Additionally, Meeting/Event Planner conducts rehearsals and system checks of all equipment and connectivity. Researches and maintains relationships with vendors for event support services. Coordinates budget planning and ensures that events stay within cost projections. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Meeting/Event Planner occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.   • Position Summary

    Position Summary:

    The Planner will assist with the planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle. The Planner coordinates the movement of materials through production with materials planning, procurement and supply chain staff. The planner will also assist Logistics with freight claims, POD’s, shipment returns and reconsignments, bookings, reporting and bids. The planner will also assist inventory specialists with tracking cycle counts, running reports and running WIP counts.

    Essential Functions

    Create and maintain production schedules, by value stream, coordinating the release based on customer demand and plant capacity.

    Monitor safety stock levels for accuracy by planner code/value stream.

    Maintain a variety of schedules, records, and reports that pertain to the tracking of materials through the production cycle and availability of production resources.

    Assists in executing requisite system transactions needed to support customer demand.

    Assists with the monitoring of inventory levels generating tracking reports to communicate stock outs and safety stock shortages.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience in inventory and production control.
    • 4 year college degree in supply chain, business, engineering, or materials management preferred.
    • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
    • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills and be able to understand of electronic processing.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
    • Must be eligible to live and work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
    • Relocation benefits are not being provided.
