The Welcome Center Associate is responsible for front line membership and program registration and verification, ability to sell memberships to prospective customers, answering the telephone in a timely, friendly and helpful manner, and providing accurate information in a professional manner to all inquiries. We are seeking associates to work weekday evening shifts 4pm-9pm and various weekend shifts.
Essential Functions- Greets members and others entering the facility and ensures that all memberships are valid.
- Prepares daily program schedule board for members.
- Accepts and receives the payment of memberships and programs. Receipts all monies and ensures all work balances at end of shift.
- Practices the “Relationship Building” principles outlined in the Policy and Procedures Manual.
- Perform all necessary membership and program registration including online registrations.
- Keeps all records and files in an organized manner.
- Answers the telephone and provides accurate information in a professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and friendly environment with relationship building as priority.
- Assists with preparation of all mailings.
- Participates in membership tours, membership sales and follow up to prospective members.
- Maintains a positive and professional image
- Communicates with membership and staff on all changes.
- Ensures that the cash drawer is always balanced.
- Participates in all special events, such as open houses.
- Communicates directly with members and the community to build, strong, positive and lasting relationships.
- Consults and communicates with the Membership Coordinator or the Membership Director on all matters of importance.
- Participate in workshops, seminars and conferences that will enhance professional growth.
- Assist with all promotional activities throughout the year.
- Assist with the Annual Support Campaign.
- Works well independently and shows initiative.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- CPR, First Aid, AED certifications; Blood borne Pathogens and Child Abuse Prevention training within 30 days of hire date.
- Previous Customer Service Experience preferred.
- Flexibility for other shifts a plus.
- Outgoing, Friendly, and Engaging.
