Men's Athletics Director directs all facets of a university/college's men's athletic program, including intramural and intercollegiate sports. Manages the entire men's coaching staff. Being a Men's Athletics Director schedules use of facilities, transportation, and sporting events. Also responsible for fundraising, publicity, ticket pricing and distribution, and purchase of new equipment. Additionally, Men's Athletics Director requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Men's Athletics Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. To be a Men's Athletics Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     The Overtime Athletics Sports Program Coordinator is the operational manager for all our sports programming - summer camps & after school enrichment classes. This person will be responsible for maintaining, implementing, scheduling and servicing all Overtime Athletics’ Summer Camps, and supporting our Fall after school program planning/scheduling. Success in managing these programs includes recruiting, hiring, training, and managing a staff of counselors; creating & maintaining staff work schedules; handling all camp logistics, agendas, and equipment needs; responsible for all customer service to enhance relationships with parents and camp site partnerships; onsite administrator at ALL summer camps locations supported by camp counselor staff to deliver successful camp experiences to customers.

    OTA CT provides summer sports camps in Darien, CT & New Canaan, CT. Camps are half day 9am-12pm, outside only rain or shine. Camps are for ages 5-12. Camps will have between 10-40 campers per week.

    Job Compensation and Logistics:

    • Position Term: Year Round
    • Position offers 40 hours per week. Work week varies based on volume/type of camps each week. Summer is the busy season.
    • W2 employee - Bi-weekly payroll
    • When not working at camp sites, our Program Coordinator may be tasked with supporting the planning, coordinating and developing of our after school program partnerships with local elementary schools. This is 75% of the job.
    • Will require virtual & in-person trainings.
    • Will need flexibility to help with camp set up & equipment load in on a weekends prior to camp starts

    Working Conditions:

    • Physically onsite overseeing, supervising, and working at all camp sites in Darien, and New Canaan.
    • Transportation required to meet with staff and be on-site for camps
    • Must maintain a professional appearance to achieve our goals of providing the highest quality of customer service.
    • Periodic communication with parents to address any issues, questions or resolve behavior problems.
    • Be able to work remote when summer camps end each day, focusing on next season scheduling.

    Job Duties:

    • Manage all aspects of OTA Summer Camps – Registration, Staffing, Customer Service, Partnership Management, Administrative Duties, Sales.
    • May require support to schedule, plan and set up Fall after school sports classes with OTA's local elementary school partnerships
    • Conduct new hiring and training for summer camp staff as needed.
    • Create staff work schedules based on each camp weeks enrollment.
    • Staff development (continuous training), staff evaluation & staff Management.
    • Summer camp site supply buying/ordering management.
    • Track and report payroll hours & staff timesheets to owner.
    • Plan and create summer camp agendas using OTA Curriculum.
    • Marketing & communications to customers to boost enrollment.
    • Manage camp registration and roster/database Information – attendance sheets, etc.
    • Responsible for all equipment and gear logistics at camp sites and managing storage unit.
    • Set up, manage and develop our Fall 2022 After School Program schedule with local elementary school partners.

    Required Experience:

    • 1 years’ experience teaching, coaching or childcare experience.
    • 1 years’ experience in sports coaching, or sports playing experience
    • Experience in planning youth sports programs/leagues/camps is preferred.
    • Experience supervising others, specifically college aged staff
    • CPR & First Aid Certified or willing to complete prior to working

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $51,456.00 per year
