This job processes all purchasing requests for all supplies, services, and equipment. Ensures viable substitute products are identified to minimize the impact of backorders. Supports the logistics, sourcing, accounts payable, and clinical value analysis teams with supply inquiries and maintains current reports that impact procurement, receiving and invoicing.

Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in business.
Preferred - Previous Healthcare/hospital Experience.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to present information clearly and professionally.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Reviews purchase order confirmations and conducts follow-up as appropriate.
- Coordinates with appropriate teams/departments regarding cost updates.
- Assists buyers with backorder resolution and identification of alternate products.
- Coordinates with purchasing teams to resolve buyer messages and resolutions as needed.
- Coordinates supply questions, needs, and end user inquiries to the appropriate contact and supply chain divisions to ensure customer engagement is optimized.
- Assists departments and/or team members with order discrepancies, including but not limited to, returns, damaged goods, mis-ships, etc.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Remains knowledgeable on current federal, state, and local laws, accreditation standards or regulatory agency requirements that apply to the assigned area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all such laws, regulations, and standards.
