Newly hired SCA employees are eligible for up to one week of vacation at 180 days of employment and up to one additional week after one year of employment, and 56 hours of paid sick leave.
Job responsibilities: Performs routine clerical duties related to purchasing functions. Responsible for processing purchase orders originated through PRC's, blanket purchase orders and government agency contracts.
Essential Functions- Review requisitions to determine what vendors are to be contacted for price quotations and placement of contracts; evaluate bids and select vendors
- Ensure adherence to quality standards, required delivery schedules and contractual terms
- Conduct follow-up on purchase orders past due with appropriate vendor
- Coordinate with Accounting and Property departments relative to accuracy of pricing data
- HSD/ GED and 1 year experience in purchasing
- Must type a minimum of 40 words per minute, ten-key by sight and be computer proficient
- A valid driver license in the state where the facility is located with an acceptable driving record is required.
