About the Company and Position:
Impact Merchandise is a supplier to the tourism and amusement industries. Our customers run retail operations at the country’s premier tourist attractions. We develop custom products overseas and distribute them to our customers around the country.
We are seeking someone to support our accounting manager with daily accounting functions and key administrative responsibilities. This role requires a dedicated, reliable individual with superior attention to detail, while maintaining flexibility and a sense of humor.
This position is in-office, part-time at 20 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours as workload increases seasonally. The schedule is flexible, with at least three days required in-office each week between 8:00am-4:00pm.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Accounting Functions:
· Review and route incoming payables, enter select payables in QuickBooks.
· Review credit card statements for accuracy, acquire credit card receipts for all transactions.
· Assist with accounts receivable functions.
· Address or route requests for updated ACH information or copies of pertinent documents.
· Assist with audits, fact checks, and discrepancy resolution.
· Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned by the accounting manager.
· Provide coverage as necessary when the accounting manager is out of office.
Administrative Functions:
· Provide general administrative support to the accounting department, including maintenance of physical and digital filing systems, monitoring accounting voicemail box, sending outgoing mail, and routing incoming mail.
· Maintain shared office spaces and supply inventory.
· Maintain office equipment by troubleshooting malfunctions and scheduling repairs to ensure smooth operation.
· Provide support in preparation for company meetings, events, and celebrations, including overseeing food orders and providing general support to visitors.
Skills & Qualifications
· Previous experience in accounting or finance is advantageous but not required.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and QuickBooks.
· High levels of integrity and discretion.
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members.
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks and responsibilities.
