Merchandise Buyer selects merchandise for order, places order, and stays involved in inventory distribution. Reviews success of previous orders to determine extent to which inventory should be replenished. Being a Merchandise Buyer researches new trends or advances in product lines to make appropriate buying decisions. May require a bachelor's degree in area of specialty. Additionally, Merchandise Buyer typically reports to a supervisor or manager. To be a Merchandise Buyer typically requires 4 to 7 years of related experience. Premier Wholesale Souvenirs Company in Sunset Park Brooklyn is looking for a full time Administrative Assistant to join its Team.
The best fit for this position must be a self-starter, have the ability to multi-tasking with accuracy, and possess great attention to detail, problem solving skills, communication, and time management abilities. Hours are 9am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and coordinate marketing material, files, etc... for client meetings and proposals.
- Assist with customer follow ups.
- Data Entry.
- Answer incoming phone calls and facilitate the handling of request for information.
- Route calls to other staff members or take massages when appropriate.
- Support office staff.
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office applications - Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Strong ability to manage multiple task/projects and deadlines simultaneously under minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work.
- Must possess high school diploma or equivalent.
- Maintain a professional appearance and have a positive, friendly attitude.
