Overview:
We are a fast growing bakery looking to add to our 2 person team! We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Assistant to join our team. As a Bakery Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the production of baked goods and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Duties:
- Assist with the preparation and production of baked goods, including measuring ingredients, mixing dough, and operating baking equipment
- Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistent quality and taste of products
- Monitor baking process to ensure goods are baked to perfection
- Decorate and package finished products for display or sale
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and restocking supplies
- Being able to lift up to 50lbs
- Ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of orders
- Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment
Preferred Skills:
- Previous experience in food production or baking is preferred
- Knowledge of baking techniques, including mixing, proofing, shaping, and baking
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Strong attention to detail to ensure precise measurements and timing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment, including ovens, mixers, and knives
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality standards
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as required
