Hurricanes, tornadoes, and blizzards — Southern New England gets a little bit of everything! The ideal candidate will be committed to urgently covering weather that is potentially life threatening to our community. The ideal candidate will also understand the importance of minor weather events, which often have a big impact on the daily lives of our audience. Candidates should have a B.S. degree in meteorology or earth sciences, plus 3-5 years of experience on-air. Top candidates will have superior forecasting and storytelling skills, with the ability to produce easy-to-understand and informative visuals, maps and graphics. Candidates should have experience covering breaking severe weather — on broadcast, online and on social media.
