Requires a high school diploma. Additionally, Meter Reader typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Meter Reader may require 0-1 year of general work experience. We are currently hiring for Full Time Utility Meter Readers in the Kalamazoo, MI area! Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, hold a valid driver’s license, have a reliable vehicle and be able to pass a drug screen. Candidate needs to be able to physically walk up to 5 miles and work out side in all weather.
After the initial classroom training and field training which will be the first 45 days paid at $14.59/hr, employees will be transitioned to being paid on a piece work basis which allows most of our employees to earn up to $18.00 / hour!
