Job Summary :

The Mixer is a key role in our ABC department, responsible for continuously monitoring and adjusting the product to ensure it meets the standards of Newly Weds Foods, Inc.

The Mixer is required to properly prepare and mix batches of dough, and must be able to adapt to changing conditions such as temperature and humidity.

Essential Functions and Duties :

• Perform all phases of the mixing operation, including knowledge of the location and types of ingredients, measuring and weighing processes, and reading and understanding batch tickers.
• Make appropriate adjustments of water and yeast relative to temperature and humidity, without direct assistance and with minimal supervision.
• Monitor the dough quality, identify problems, and make necessary adjustments.
• Read the production schedule to determine which products must be prepared.
• Use AS400 to read recipe sheets and determine batch ingredients.
• Operation of a Forklift may be required.
• Assist in training new mixer operators and stay up-to-date on new work methods and job procedures.
• Perform other tasks or duties as assigned by the shift supervisor or the department manager.

Qualifications :

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Basic HACCP and GMP knowledge required.
• Must be able to consistently lift up to 80 lbs.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts and weekends.
