The exciting role of Model Home Coordinator (MHC) is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is an outgoing, helpful, and an all-around people person. They are responsible for greeting our potential homebuyers and welcoming them into our Model Homes. The Model Home Coordinator as the first point of contact for some potential homebuyers assists their New Home Specialist with creating the best homebuying experience. They create a positive and inviting atmosphere full of information from floor plans to local community resources. The Model Home Coordinators are the face of the organization and they spend time sharing our story and reputation with future homeowners.
Essential Job Functions:
- Stand to greet every guest, demonstrate model homes, and assist them by helping become familiar with the homes available, their features, availabilities, prices, terms, homesites, market homes and procedures for purchase.
- Provide appropriate neighborhood and community information including but not limited to school, shopping centers, transportation availability, medical facilities, recreational facilities, etc., to model home visitors.
- Obtain and record guest information, including name, address, phone number, and important housing needs on Customer Preference Survey Card.
- Set appointments with a prospect for the New Home Specialists. The appointment should be presented as an information session in which the New Home Specialist will provide valuable information that the customer needs in today’s market. Company standard is to obtain three appointments for every ten traffic units.
- Always ensure that the models are clean, and that all furnishings, accessories, and equipment are in first-class condition. This includes but is not limited to, landscaping, signage, indoor and outdoor lighting, drapes, and furnishings. Report any discrepancies or actions required to the New Home Specialist immediately. All lights are to be on all day.
- Ensure that an adequate and complete supply of point-of-sale material is available, including brochures, price lists, and pamphlets. Provide a list to the New Home Specialist on any supplies that are needed.
- Report traffic and other sales activity information weekly, as required. Traffic report is to be updated daily.
- The Model Home Coordinator is to obtain the same information from phone-in customer that would be obtained from a walk-in (i.e., name, address, phone number, and appointment). All calls should be answered by the third ring.
- Follow up with every prospective homeowner by letter, phone call, email, etc.
- Return all guest phone calls or other forms of inquiry on a prompt basis.
