Mortgage Loan Processor performs administrative tasks for mortgage loan processing. Collects and prepares necessary information such as loan applications, credit documents, and appraisals to process and complete mortgage loan files. Being a Mortgage Loan Processor verifies all documentation for accuracy and completeness. Tracks and monitors due dates. Additionally, Mortgage Loan Processor ensures all documents are prepared and finalized in compliance with regulatory policies and procedures. Inputs and maintains all required transaction and processing records according to procedures. Responds to inquiries. Prepares required regulatory reporting. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Mortgage Loan Processor works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Gather information and take each file from pre-approval to closing
- Input proper loan information into the system for processing
- Responsible for ensuring that all loan documentation is complete accurate verified and complies with company policy
- Verify loan documents including income credit appraisal and title insurance ultimately preparing application for submittal to underwriting
- Review file documentation and make sure all items needed are requested
- Order and coordinate loan documents
- Meet crucial deadlines requested
- Perform any additional duties/activities assigned by management
JOB REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS- 2-5 years mortgage loan processing experience, prefers experience with FHA, VA and USDA products
- Knowledge of mortgage lending products, documentation, policies and procedures, service and delivery methods
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with internal/external customers via telephone, email and in person
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Experience working with a Windows-based computer environment
