Mortgage Operations Manager oversees all mortgage lending operations, including verifying property appraisals, marketing loan products, and loan processing. Manages resources to ensure quality mortgage loan service and efficient delivery of products and services to clients. Being a Mortgage Operations Manager monitors the productivity and budgetary performance of the operations department and develops new procedures to improve processes. Acts as a resource for knowledge on mortgage lending operations and trains and educates personnel on new or changing regulations or procedures. Additionally, Mortgage Operations Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Mortgage Operations Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Mortgage Operations Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. General Summary
This position will be onsite and will direct and manage the operations of the processing, closing, and post/pre-closing mortgage functions utilizing established policies and procedures, corporate standards, and regulatory guidelines. This senior leader will oversee the processing and support teams to ensure maximum efficiency and accuracy while delivering products and services to the mortgage loan officers and clients.

- Conduct quarterly Employee Development Meetings (EDM’s)
- Complete Employee Reviews
- Counsel & provide training to staff
- Provide conflict resolution
- Make recommendations to Executive team for procedures, policies & systems
- Stay up to date on mortgage regulations and compliance and regularly provide training and updates to the team
- Develop and refine processes and procedures related to mortgage lending
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or additional equivalent experience.
- 15 or more years of high-level loan documentation support, or five or more years related experience and/or training.
- Prefer 5 or more years of supervisory experience.
- May be required to register for and obtain NMLS ID # and is responsible for maintaining registration as required.
- Thorough knowledge of mortgage origination, documentation, compliance and regulations
- Organize projects, priorities and time management.
- Pay critical level of attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include good visual acuity to read print and computer screens.
