As a member of our underwriting team, you'll be a critical part of the loan manufacturing process in determining a credit decision by analyzing financial data related to loan requests. This is your chance to contribute to a monumental step in the homeownership journey.

Essential Underwriter Functions:

• Underwriting Compliance: Complete the underwriting process by thoroughly examining the loan parameters against all regulations and investor guidelines, including but not limited to loan amount, loan-to-value requirements, supporting financial documentation, associated risks, etc. You will make the final credit decision for the loan application using your expertise, logic, and strategic thinking.
• Accuracy & Completeness: You will draw accurate conclusions on loan applications by reviewing and determining many variables, including income, employment verification, tax returns, credit reports, credit reporting requirements, and federal, state, and investor guidelines. You will issue conditions as needed and communicate the applicable provisions of each loan package with expert-level communication skills.

• BA/BS and 4 years of mortgage loan underwriting experience in retail residential mortgages.
• Ability to successfully analyze qualitative and quantitative data with precision.
• DE, SAR required
• Experience with Encompass LOS is strongly preferred.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
