Network Control Center Manager manages the daily activities of a network service function to ensure efficient, reliable, and secure operations that meet users' needs. Directs testing, configuration changes, or upgrades to network hardware or software. Being a Network Control Center Manager oversees monitoring of the network traffic and performance to identify and troubleshoot any issues. Leads incident response and implements standard incident management processes, including root cause analysis (RCA) of any issues to identify and deploy corrective actions. Additionally, Network Control Center Manager develops capacity planning forecasts and strategies. Manages relations with vendors and service providers and monitors performance quality to ensure required service levels are delivered. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The Network Control Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager.   • Job Details PRIMARY FUNCTION: We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Network Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to our business operations and requires a professional with a keen understanding of complex network systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing our companies entire network infrastructure, ensuring the smooth and efficient transmission of data. This includes designing, implementing and maintaining our systems as well as troubleshooting any network related issues. The role demands a strong leader who can manage a team of network engineers and coordinate with other departments to ensure our network meets the needs of the organization. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manages large teams, or multiple smaller teams, of individuals, staff and leaders, including managing recruitment, retention, staffing plans, performance accountability, and annual performance management reviews. Creates team structure to enhance efficiency and effectiveness and manages individuals/team through changes necessary to improve that structure. Manages operational readiness of existing systems and services. Helps to resolve barriers and conflicts (resource, timing, financial, sequencing) between multiple projects and project teams. Resolves issues before they become barriers to successful project implementations. Develops and maintains effective lines of communication and relationships with IT leaders and staff, and appropriate CCHS leaders and staff to ensure IT department is delivering effective and efficient projects and services. Provides and presents organizational communication and education related to the areas of responsibility. Ensures communications are consistent and coordinated. Leads organizational and departmental performance improvement activities. Develops and manages budget for areas of responsibility. Manages vendor relationships within areas of responsibility. Identifies and pursues opportunities for continuing professional development to increase understanding of assigned areas, information technology direction, and healthcare direction. Negotiates service level agreements with customers and service providers and monitor service delivery to ensure agreed upon targets are met or exceeded. Provides intake mechanism for organizational ideas and leads the champion/sponsor through the initial stages of the project management methodology, to position the project for approval, and coordinate the handoff to the appropriate project manager. Works closely with champions, sponsors, stakeholders, and IT staff to create strategy, approach, sequencing, and timeline for projects and programs, focusing on clinical/business process improvements. Prepares for, coordinates, and chairs the project/program advisory, decision-making, and steering committees, including an emphasis on a multi-disciplinary approach. Manages projects using CCHS-specific project management methodology to deliver technology that drives business/clinical benefit. Negotiates contracts with external vendors for services and products and monitor delivery of contractual obligations. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 6 years of Network resource management experience with an emphasis on experience with multi-disciplinary, complex projects, systems and/or teams. Previous Network Engineer Role and experience with multiple networking technologies. Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience in a field related to the assigned area.
