Position Title:Plant Supervisor - 2nd Shift

Department: Operations

Location: Fenton, MO

Reports To: VP of Operations

Classification: Salary - Exempt

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of hourly staff. This position will assign work, assist with the schedule, and provide assistance to the employees when there are issues with their equipment. The normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday from 3:15 p.m. to 1:15 a.m.

Essential Job Duties:

• Supervises the activities of hourly workers engaged in manufacturing.
• Manufacturing processes include machining, assembly, packing, warehouse, and inspection.
• Directs setup and adjustment of work cells and machining centers.
• Assists in the scheduling of work orders and workflow.
• Trains employees in the Company's established work methods, processes, and procedures.
• Coach, counsel and disciplines employees when necessary.
• Inspects finished products to verify conformance to specifications.
• Applies knowledge to new innovative processes and work methods.
• Improves quality, increases productivity, and assists in reducing costs.

Required Education:

Associate's Degree preferred and/or applicable experience.

Required Experience/Skills:

• 2 - 5 years of successful supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading a team of machinists.

• Strong background in machining operations.
• Problem solving capability.
• Demonstrates basic human interaction and leadership skills.
• Reads and understands blueprints.
• Good computer skills.
• Experience with an MRP system, preferably Macola
• Experience with production planning and scheduling.
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Ability to assess current situations and make decisive decisions based on the facts at that time.
• Interacts with employees from all backgrounds and is able to positively motivate their team to accomplish organizational goals.

Desired Experience:

• Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5s, etc.
• Prior experience with assembly operations.
