Network Engineer develops and deploys plans and designs of network systems that will meet an organization's requirements for performance, security, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility, and cost studies. Being a Network Engineer defines monitoring, maintenance, expansion, contingency, and recovery plans and strategies to ensure the network is responsive to changes in demand. Troubleshoots network issues and develops appropriate solutions, resources, and deployment processes. Additionally, Network Engineer keeps informed of the latest technologies to enhance knowledge of networking hardware, software, and best practices. May be certified in vendor-specific products. Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Network Engineer work is closely managed.     Job Title: Staff Network Engineer

    Contract Duration: 4 months

    Location: Littleton, CO

    Onsite Requirement: 100% onsite

    Shifts: M - F, 8 am-5 pm MST



    Must Have Skills:

    • 10 or more years of professional experience in a large enterprise or service provider space
    • Ability to present to key stakeholders - professional and clear communication, someone who can explain complex topics in a simple way
    • Experience Designing, Engineering, and Deploying Networks


    Service provider networking;

    • ISIS, MPLS, and Segment Routing
    • BGP routing and route reflectors
    • Multi-VRF environments with traffic shaping and QoS
    • IP Address Management, DNS, and DHCP
    • High availability, failover, and redundant configurations
    • Network security design considerations and firewalls

    Nice to Have Skills:

    • Professional networking certifications– CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent
    • Public cloud certifications – advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent.
    • Network automation or scripting with Python, Bash, Ansible
    • Services such as TACACS, ISE, VPN


    Education/Certification Requirements:

    Bachelor’s degree in electrical/computer Engineering preferred



    Project Details and D2D responsibilities:

    • Our client is seeking a Staff Network Engineer to design and engineer effective and scalable network systems that ultimately contribute to the success of our 5G network. The successful candidate will participate in the design, engineering, and deployment of network routing devices for a nationwide 5G network buildout.
    • This candidate will provide advanced technical leadership for complex project work, including functional subsystem upgrades for mission-critical network devices and services and strategic upgrades to the network.
    • In this role, you will review architectural requirements and provide analysis for network and services specifications, and network design in a multi-VRF environment.
    • Design, plan, and implement complex LAN/WAN configurations at a nationwide scale in a service provider network.
    • Effectively communicate engineering solutions through detailed high- and low-level diagrams.
    • Provide advanced expertise in the planning and development of network test, validation, and integration plans on projects and assurance of network integrity;
    • Provide hands-on implementation and support for 24x7 production network operations.
