Summary
The Finance Director is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the clinic. This role involves managing budgeting, accounting, financial analysis, cash flow management, purchasing, payroll, financial reporting, audit, billing, revenue cycle management and other financial activities to ensure the clinic’s financial health and compliance with regulations. The Finance Director works closely with clinic leadership to develop financial strategies, optimize resource utilization, and support the clinic’s operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the clinic’s annual budget in collaboration with senior management and the Board.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, strengths and challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Assist in developing long-term financial strategies and goals for the clinic.
- Provide financial forecasts and models to support strategic initiatives.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising patient care quality.
- Responsible for all purchasing and payroll activity for staff and participants.
- Oversee all revenue cycle operations of the organization, including patient accounts, charge capture, billing, payment application, denials management, and claim follow-up and collections.
- Implement and monitor revenue cycle policies and procedures to optimize cash flow.
- Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in healthcare finance laws and regulations.
- Ensure that adequate financial controls are in place and adjust as necessary.
- Oversee corporate tax filings, audits and compliance reports, and ensures the integrity and timely submission of all filings.
- Negotiate contracts and manage relationships with vendors and payors.
- Perform vendor analysis, review and monitor aged invoices and payment inaccuracies, following up to final payment.
- Maintain up-to-date electronic vendor records complete with copy of Form W-9, current remittance addresses, and other pertinent information.
- Communicate financial policies and procedures to staff and ensure adherence.
- Provides accounting assistance to various department managers and staff; responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial management systems.
- Utilize technology to streamline financial operations and improve reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or CPA preferred)
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare finance, preferably in an outpatient clinic setting.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
