New Policy Specialist jobs in Ohio
New Policy Specialist processes incoming applications for new and renewing policies to include changes/updates according to company guidelines for group health, dental and/or life policies. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening requests, calculating new premiums, issuing new policies and associated documentation. Being a New Policy Specialist serves assigned accounts by responding to inquiries and resolving issues of concern. May handle more complex situations or issues. Additionally, New Policy Specialist requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The New Policy Specialist gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. Occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Career Opportunity – New Business Policy Issue Specialist with Unity Financial Life Insurance Company in Cincinnati, OH
Do you have experience in life insurance? Are you detail oriented with a focus on accuracy? Do you want to be a part of a great team? If you answered yes, we want to speak with you!
As a Policy Issue Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing applications and contracts, verifying the business submitted is in good order, and issuing the policies/contracts in accordance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, you will:
- Process and prepare the new business vouchers.
- Review and issue insurance/annuity applications.
- Provide assistance over the phone as needed to field personnel.
- Process and monitor 1035 Exchanges.
- Provide daily reports to Senior Management regarding outstanding policies, issued policies and agent training issues.
- Process returned applications (not issued).
- Correct errors on issued policies, and re-issue as appropriate.
Qualified candidates will have:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- An ability to multitask while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- 1-3 years life insurance experience and/or LOMA matriculation is desirable.
- Annuity and/or SPIA (Single Premium Immediate Annuity) experience, preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Self-starter, comfortable working in fast paced environment.
