Job Summary
We are seeking experienced mechanics who are eager to explore a new challenge and expand their horizons in the electrical industry. As a Breaker Technician, you will be responsible for the refurbishment, maintenance, and repair of circuit breakers ranging from 480V to 15kV.
Job Description:
Responsible for repairing, upgrading, reconditioning, and re-manufacturing of power circuit breakers.
Position Requirements:
Must be able to pass federal background check and drug screening. Must possess valid driver’s license. Must be able to be employed in the Unites States.
Base Skills/Experience:
- Mechanical /electrical aptitude in dismantling, cleaning, repair and rebuilding low/medium voltage circuit breakers
- Excellent people skills (client and co-worker interaction)
- Excellent verbal communication
- Excellent reading comprehension of technical documents
- Organizational ability which will allow multitasking but also focus on the task at hand
- Experienced with basic hand tools
- Experience with electrical wiring and/or assembly
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities
· Electrical distribution systems knowledge including ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams
- Testing of low/medium voltage electrical power equipment
- Detailed documentation of test results
· Experience with 480V electrical equipment manufacturing
Educational Requirements:
· High School Diploma or equivalent
*Real world experience is an acceptable replacement for any formal education
Compensation:
Monetary compensation will be commensurate with experience and skill level.
Working Conditions:
Candidate will work in a clean shop environment, mostly in air-conditioned spaces. Candidate should be able to lift 40 pounds safely. Some travel to affiliate companies for client job sites may be required (Once qualified)
