Being a Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Acute Care requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. As an Acute Care RN, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive care to patients with a variety of medical conditions. Your responsibilities will include:- Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans.
- Administering medications and treatments.
- Monitoring patient conditions and responding to changes in their health status.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educating patients and families on their conditions and treatment plans.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Alaska Registered Nurse License upon hire
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire
- 1 year of nursing experience
