Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients in a cardiac unit. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Nurse Practitioner - Cardiac's years of experience requirement may be unspecified. Mercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is looking to add an outpatient Nurse Practitioner to its busy CardioThoracic (CT) Program. Our clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation’s Mercy Medical Group locations throughout Sacramento.
Compensation Range: $135,000 - $180,000 / Year

MMG is a large multi-specialty medical group of 500 providers comprised of primary care physicians, specialists in more than 30 medical and surgical specialties, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners. These professionals provide seamless primary and specialty care, working together to meet the unique needs of each individual patient.
MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outpatient clinical care to post-surgical patients, patient education and follow-up, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues. This opportunity is full-time with no call requirement, no weekends, and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications
- Training from an accredited NP program
- Possession of CA licensure
- DEA, Furnishing License
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Excellent communication skills
- Priority is given to candidates with at least 1 year or more clinical experience in Cardiology, Wound Care, and/or Cardiac Critical Care experience
