Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist jobs in New Mexico
Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist works in collaboration with hospital physicians to manage care for patients with stable and chronic illnesses. Orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Makes patient rounds. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Hospitalist plans and coordinates rehabilitation, home health care, and follow-up services for patients with acute health issues. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. I’m the hospitalist medical director for Sound Physicians at Presbyterian Plains Regional Medical Center in Clovis, New Mexico. I proudly have been with Sound since 2020 and welcome interest from new graduates and seasoned clinicians. People- We are a team of four physicians and two daytime advanced practice providers (APPs), dedicated to improving health and wellness in New Mexico.
- Our team comprises clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds.
- Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure a smooth transition of care.
- We will consider both ACNP and PA candidates.
- The hospital has 106 licensed beds; we work in an open ICU environment with seven beds.
- Procedures are not mandatory for our team. Code responses are handled by both our dedicated hospitalist and emergency room teams. Ensuring a collective and supportive approach.
- Experience the convenience of EPIC EMR and gain access to Sound Physicians’ internal informatics platform.
- Compensation is 150k Base Salary.
