Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health works in collaboration with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to provide medical care and treatment in women's clinic setting. Provides care to women from adolescence through menopause, with a focus on reproduction and gynecology. Being a Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health orders, interprets, and records results of clinical tests and reports results to physicians. Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment. Additionally, Nurse Practitioner - Women's Health assesses patient condition and may provide treatment using specialized medical equipment. Works in outpatient settings, responding to high patient volumes in short-term spans and dealing with unpredictable situations and issues. Follows established guidelines and protocols. Requires a master's degree. Requires Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP). Requires Registered Nurse (RN). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. LifeSpring Health Systems is seeking a licensed family nurse practitioner to provide comprehensive medical care to women of all ages in a mobile health facility base in Jeffersonville, IN. This is a community based position in a mobile health unit. The successful candidate will have experience developing relationships with other health systems, social services and community partners, and will be comfortable practicing independently. This position will focus on promoting safe, reliable contraceptive options; encouraging STD and infectious disease testing and treatment; and placement of Long Acting Contraceptive Options. The preferred candidate will have at least two years of experience as a nurse practitioner providing primary care and be licensed or license-eligible in the State of Indiana.
