The Nurse Recruiter recruits qualified applicants for LPNs, Graduate RNs and positions requiring Registered Nurse licensure; places advertisements, attends job fairs, follows-up with applicants for nurse positions to ensure prompt responses to their application and guidance to the best job fit or their interest, experience, and motivation; assists with onboarding of nurses for the organization; utilizes applicant tracking software for organization-side nurse recruitment efforts and managing open requisitions; reviews applicant information, contacts applicant, screens and counsels candidates on open positions and guides them through the recruitment and interview process with managers; assists hiring managers with candidate interviews, follow-up, and placement in open positions; assists the Recruitment Manager and HRIS Manager in reviews and quality checks of the nurse recruitment workflow and processes; works with the nursing management team and HR to identify priorities for nurse recruitment; consults with nursing management team and HR to design and implement strategies to fill critical positions, incorporating quality improvement and customer service principles into each strategy; develops and maintains vacancy rates, time to fill, and other HR metrics specifically for nurse recruitment; coordinates with clinical department directors to ensure that applicant screening and evaluation is consistent with position requirements; works in collaboration with HR Compensation staff to identify position changes and work with department management to update position descriptions; maintains effective communication with nursing management team and applicants throughout the recruitment process; provides advice, training, and feedback to department managers and nursing management team in key recruitment and selection areas such as interviewing techniques, candidate evaluation, and areas for improvement in communication and candidate management; identifies and attends local, state, regional, or national nursing recruitment events; regular and prompt attendance; ability to work schedule as defined and overtime as required; related duties as required.
Graduation form an accredited school of nursing and three years of experience. Recruitment or Human Resources experience is preferred.
