Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to nurses and healthcare professionals in delivering quality patient care. This is a private duty case where you will work 12 hr shifts assisting a patient with special needs. No behavioral needs and is high functioning. knowledge of ileostomy care and importance of hydration and meal preparations is imperative.
Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take vital signs and record patient information
- Help patients move, turn, and transfer between different rooms of his home.
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Assist nursing staff with assessments of patients status while caring for him
- Maintain a clean and organized patient environment
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic anatomy and physiology
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including children and the elderly and the mentally delayed
- Familiarity with medical documentation procedures
- Ability to lift and move patients safely
- Certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of a Nursing Assistant training program is required
- Experience in Emergency Medicine, Long-Term Care, or private duty is preferrable
