Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home administers the nursing program in a nursing home in the absence of the Nursing Director. Oversees operations in order to maintain standards of patient care. Being a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home advises management, patient care staff and administrators in matters related to nursing service. Assists in the establishment and implementation of policies and develops organizational structure and standards of performance. Additionally, Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home interprets policies and objectives of nursing service to staff and community groups. Typically requires an advanced degree of nursing. Typically reports to the Nursing Director. Requires RN license. The Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Nursing Director Assistant - Nursing Home typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Summary:
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) under supervision, provides basic nursing assistance and assists residents with daily living activities.Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Licenses/Certification:
Valid certification as a CNA in the state of employment.
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
Job Functions:

Answers signal lights and bells to determine resident needs.

Assists residents with grooming, oral hygiene, bathing, hair, and incontinence care.

Obtains food trays and assists residents with feeding.

Assists residents with range of motion exercises, and movement to wheelchair or activity areas.

Assists resident with turning and positioning in bed.,

Assists resident with ambulation for short distance in facility.
-
Takes and records temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates, and food and fluid intake and output, as directed.

Performs other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to react decisively and quickly in emergency situations.

Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and facility staff.
