Budget and Fund Analyst – Business Office

Requirements:

1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting from an accredited college or university
2. Minimum of two years successful related experience in accounting or financial systems.
3. Demonstrated ability to communicate well with all levels within an organization.
4. Experience in the following preferred:
   1. Computerized municipal financial systems (MUNIS), electronic spreadsheets, word processing, database, budgetary systems, financial control systems and training of staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties and responsibilities include:

• Analysis of departmental, program, grant and capital budgets to provide management financial reports and budget projections.
• Analysis and preparation of budget transfer documents to facilitate departmental expenditure requests.
• Oversee grant fund budgets and financial records to meet audit requirements.
• Work on various accounting/budget research projects.
• Liaison with city departments on related computerized financial systems.
• Provide training on the use of city and school computerized financial systems and software and other related duties as assigned.
• To perform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Finance.

REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Finance

EFFECTIVE DATE OF EMPLOYEMENT: As soon as possible after the posting period closes

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 month position

SALARY: $85,000 to $90,000 annually
