Oil and Gas Superintendent oversees daily oil and gas operations activities at multiple facilities. Supervises and directs employees involved in production, drilling, maintenance, and/or construction through foreman and other lead staff. Being an Oil and Gas Superintendent requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Oil and Gas Superintendent manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. To be an Oil and Gas Superintendent typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience.     • The main function of the Civil Technician 2 is to be responsible for the completion of inspection, including initial interpretation, reporting and billing. Civil Technicians are thoroughly familiar with the scope and methods of the civil inspections being used and should perform assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of Assistant Technicians.

     

    • Ensure that all testing equipment used is functioning properly, maintained as required by company and/or manufacturer's policy, and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
    • Ensure that project testing requirements are met and compliant with project specifications, requirements, and company policies or procedures
    • Travel to various job sites in a company-provided vehicle to perform sampling and testing on construction materials, such as concrete, soils and asphalt
    • Return samples to the office for testing
    • Report data in an accurate, complete, timely, and understandable fashion in accordance with applicable testing procedures
    • Operating testing equipment; ensure that all test equipment used is functioning properly and maintained as required by the company and/or manufacturer's policy and that all calibrated equipment is within its calibration cycle
    • Operate a motor vehicle; maintain company vehicle (schedule oil changes, check fluid levels, inside/outside upkeep)
    • Communicate with dispatching and/or field supervisor, advising of current job status and locations as required; cellular phones are to be worn at all times, and calls are to be returned immediately
    • Regular attendance is required; technicians must arrive on time for scheduled jobs
    • Safely Operates company vehicles and strictly adhere to company safety regulations
    • Direct, mentor, and train personnel in the method(s) in which certified and capable of.
    • Provide direction and guidance with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the company and client. 
    • Responsible for all paperwork to be turn in a timely manner including safety forms, company required forms, customer forms, and timesheets
    • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude internally and externally
    • Follow and enforce the Company required safe work practices and procedures at all times.

    • Enforce and abide the requirements of safe operation and personal safety using required Personal Protective Equipment and Safe Practices per company policy.  
    • Perform other job related tasks as assigned by management.

     

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • 3-5 years of relevant testing or inspections experience
    • Technical Background in Civil Materials and Construction techniques preferred
    • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
