Oncology Services Director plans and directs all aspects of an organization's oncology services policies, standards, and programs. Responsible for strategic clinical relationships with physicians and interns. Being an Oncology Services Director ensures oncology clinical programs are in compliance with all applicable regulations. Researches and studies current medical publications and data on new treatments and practices to ensure high quality clinical service offerings. Additionally, Oncology Services Director advises non-medical management on clinical and patient related matters and policies. Requires a MD. Typically reports to top management. The Oncology Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Oncology Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Billing and receipting at time of appointment and treatment. Accurately process relevant paperwork including data entry. Ensure the smooth running of the clinic. Continuously liaise with the team to ensure efficient processes. Manage patient records and filing of patient notes. We’re interested in hearing from people who have: Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient care and customer service. Strong organisation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience in healthcare is preferred. Proven experience to work successfully both independently and in a team environment. Knowledge of patient billing systems and related Medicare funding mechanisms would be highly valued. Exceptional phone manner and ability to handle a high volume of patient inquiries. High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. Flexible approach to work and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
