Creates and optimizes the product assortments and categories for the online product catalog. Being an Online Merchandising Manager utilizes analytics to monitor traffic, customer behavior, sales trends, and feedback and to gain customer insights. Ensures that merchandise plans support key strategic initiatives, launches, top sellers, seasonal campaigns and trends. Additionally, Online Merchandising Manager collaborates on the development of open to buy inventory (OTB) and purchasing plans and budgets. Recommends site and usability enhancements. Requires a bachelor's degree in marketing, merchandising, business or other related field. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Online Merchandising Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions.     Essential Job Functions

    • Develop and execute a technology strategy aligned with the studio's overall business objectives, which involves identifying opportunities for technological advancements that can enhance production efficiency, improve workflows, and drive innovation.
    • Collaborate with various production departments (e.g., design, product owners.) to provide technical solutions that support the creative process. This may involve managing production equipment, post-production facilities, visual effects tools, and other technology used in content creation.
    • Manage the technology budget, making informed decisions on investments in hardware, software, and personnel to optimize technology operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
    • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the studio's technical infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, servers, and storage systems. Ensure that all technology is reliable, scalable, and secure.
    • Evaluate and negotiate contracts with technology vendors and service providers to ensure the studio receives the best products and services at competitive prices.
    • Implement strong security measures to safeguard the studio's intellectual property, sensitive data, and assets from cyber threats and unauthorized access.
    • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to technology and ensure that the studio's technology operations comply with relevant standards and guidelines.
    • Foster a culture of innovation and research within the studio, encouraging the exploration of new technologies that can improve production processes and deliver cutting-edge content to audiences.
    • Work closely with other departments, such as design, and finance, to understand their technology needs and provide solutions that support their workflows and projects.
    • Develop and implement contingency plans to ensure business continuity in case of technology failures or other emergencies.
    • Act as a point of escalation for complex technical issues and provide guidance and solutions to resolve them efficiently.
    • Manage and develop the department’s resources with the goal of meeting or exceeding all deadlines and expectations.
    • Supervise Studio Engineering day-to-day activities.
    • Own department KPIs and goals.
    • Participate in the implementation of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.
    • Develop research programs incorporating current developments to improve existing products/systems/technologies and study the potential of new ones.
    • Determine and execute improved technologies used by suppliers, competitors, and customers.
    • Collaborate with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
    • Responsible for developing appropriate processes and road map for the team(s) including hiring plans, training requirements, staffing, etc.
    • Lead and mentor direct reports while providing developmental opportunities when available.
    • Other duties related to this position may be assigned.
