The Operational Excellence (Opex) Manager develops process enhancement strategies and champions the organization’s continuous improvement journey through the application of lean principles to rapidly improve On-Time Delivery, Quality, Lead-Time, and Overall Cost. Investigates shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business process.  This position must be proactive with communication among team members and managers. This position reports to the CEO.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Develop and implement functional description and process control strategies that improve results and reduce variability.

• Implement and monitor key metrics and KPIs for performance and process effectiveness. Partner with management to leverage data to prioritize & recommend new projects.

• Develops standard operating procedures for the value stream processes based on the FLOW.
• Document track and monitor current project performance using metrics and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop data-driven solutions to improve performance.
• Develop and execute action plans that result in quality, productivity, and cost savings.

• Facilitate Kaizen events in which we effectively build and lead focused and empowered teams.

• Actively participates in meetings and training sessions as required in addition to completing continuous learning in relevant field. (example: Lean, Six Sigma, Project management,…)
• Takes on additional projects as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

Experience Required:

• 5 years of CI/ PM experience

• Six Sigma/Green Belt Certification (preferred)
• Project Management Certification (preferred)

• Experience in leading improvement projects and project teams
• Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma tools, principles and methodologies
• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.

Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work inside, occasionally work protracted or irregular hours; this position will work closely with others in addition to working alone.
• Prolong periods working either on the computer or in the manufacturing environment.
